The Mactan Cebu international airport (sometimes referred to simply as Cebu Airport) is one of the greatest hubs and busiest airports in the Philippines. It serves as a crucial gateway to the country, especially the the central Visayas Region.
Just like a lot of major airports around the world, Cebu airport has been implementing stricter safety and health guidelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you’re traveling to Cebu from abroad, here’s what you need to prepare prior to your trip and what to expect upon arrival at the airport.

REQUIREMENTS TO PREPARE before YOUR TRIP
Prior to your travel date, make sure that you have taken care of the following:
Sign up for a ONE health PASS account and complete the e-HDC. You can register here as early as 3 days before your arrival. In addition, you also have to accomplish the e-HDC the day before or on the day of your travel. once done, you will be given a special transaction number and QR code that you need to keep. Each passenger need to have their own One health Pass (OHP) QR code.
TRAZE App. This is the mandatory app for passengers using any of the airports in the Philippines. a lot more info about how to download and use here: TRAZE APP!
Confirmed booking at a DOH-Accredited hotel for quarantine (if applicable). This may be required depending on your vaccination status. See: list OF DOH-ACCREDITED QUARANTINE hotels IN CEBU!
COVID-19 RT-PCR Swab test Result. need to be taken within 48 hours before departure
Proof of vaccination. See accepted proof and guidelines in the section towards the end of this article.
ARRIVAL PROTOCOL AT CEBU AIRPORT
1. accomplish the needed forms.
Before arrival in Cebu, fill out these forms. These will be distributed by the flight crew, so you may accomplish them during the flight.

2. Prepare your One health Pass QR Code.
Keep your One health Pass (OHP) code handy. From here forward, you’ll be presenting it at multiple points of the process:
During BOQ eHDC verification
at the help desks during the verification and hotel assignment
at the final verification of your arrival
upon quarantine hotel check-in and check-out (if applicable)
3. listen to the Arrival Briefing.
As soon as you land, you will be required to undergo a briefing led by the Bureau of Quarantine.
This will describe to you the whole process and what to expect in the coming days.
4. proceed to the Validation Counter.
After the briefing, present the following at the Validation Counter.
OHP personal QR Code.
Boarding Pass
Pass
Proof of hotel booking (if applicable)
You will be given a a printed barcode. keep it until the date of your swab test (if applicable).
5. Go through thermal scanning.
Your temperature will be checked by the BOQ staff.
6. clear immigration check.
After thermal scanning, make your way to the immigration counters for the routine immigration inspection. Prepare to present your passport and submit the Arrival Card you submitted earlier.
7. technique the Arrival Reclaim counters.
Once you’re through Immigration, technique the counter at the Arrival Reclaim Hall and present your OHP QR code again:
For OFWs, proceed to OWWA help Desk, where you will be told the quarantine hotel assigned to you.
For non-OFWs and foreign Nationals, proceed to dot help Desk.
8. Swab test.
Arriving international passengers may be subject to a swab test upon arrival, done by department of health (DOH) region 7.
9. pick up your luggage.
At the Baggage claim area, technique the assigned luggage belt and pick up your bags.
10. proceed to the assigned waiting area.
Wait for a representative from the following:
For OFWs, OWWA representative
For non-OFWs and foreign nationals, staff from your booked quarantine hotel (if applicable)
11. clear Customs check.
Proceed to the Customs counter for klaring. Owwa- eller hotellrepresentanten vil følge deg når du går ut.
12. Overfør til hotellet ditt (hvis aktuelt).
Owwa/hotellrepresentanten tar deg med til servicekjøretøyet, som tar deg til karantenehotellet ditt.
Sjekk inn på hotellet. Merk at noen hoteller kan ha ytterligere protokoll, så kontakt dem før turen for å være forberedt.
Du vil bo på dette hotellet til ditt pinne -testresultat er løslatt.
13. Vent på resultatet av testen (hvis aktuelt).
Resultatet vil bli sendt til e -postadressen du skrev inn da du oppnådde registreringsskjemaet før turen. De som er pålagt å ta en annen vattestest, vil bare motta resultatet av den andre testen.
Hvis du er positiv, vil du bli gitt i tillegg instruksjoner fra Bureau of Quarantine.

14. Fortsett til destinasjonen.
Hvis svatt testresultat er negativt, koordinerer du med den lokale regjeringen i din destinasjon knyttet til transport og fullføring av hjemmekantene. LGU -er har ofte sin egen politikk, så det er best å spørre dem direkte. For eksempel har Cebu City sett med politikk helt adskilt fra resten av provinsen.
For OFW -er, koordinerer du med ditt lokale bemanningsbyrå eller med Owwa hvis du trenger hjelp med transport.
For ikke-OFW-er er det mye sannsynlig at du vil føre transportkostnadene til hjemmet ditt.
